The American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support course is a two-day class (one day for recertification) for advanced-level healthcare providers, such as paramedics, physicians, nurses, or respiratory therapists. ACLS teaches management of cardiac arrest, acute coronary syndromes, stroke, arrhythmias, and respiratory arrest through hands-on learning stations with simulated clinical scenarios. The course emphasizes integration of effective basic life support with advanced interventions, and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation. A course completion card will be issued following successful completion of a skills evaluation and written test.
An e-learning option is also available for both initial and renewal courses. This involves completion of an online module with a follow-up practical session scheduled in our training center. Please register below.
Tuition is for $285 for initial courses and $185 for renewal courses. Students may register online via the link below, by mail utilizing the form below, or in person at the Training Center. Please make check or money order payable to: McCabe Institute of Emergency Preparedness. Registration is not valid without payment. Tuition cannot be refunded unless the class is cancelled by McCabe.
