The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers course is an approximately 4 hour course designed for healthcare professionals, such physicians, dentists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and EMS personnel who require a card documenting successful completion of a CPR course. This course is also commonly required for nursing, EMT, and other allied health students, as well as those interested in becoming CPR instructors.

The course is video-based with instructor-led discussion and simulation. Students participate in, practice, and complete various skills and learning stations. Skills include one and two-rescuer CPR for patients of all ages, use of barrier devices and bag-valve-mask resuscitators, and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). A course completion card will be issued following successful completion of a skills evaluation and written test.
Both daytime and evening courses are offered monthly and held at the McCabe Training Center at 880 Broadway, Bayonne, NJ. Daytime courses begin at 8:30 a.m. and evening courses begin at 6:30 p.m.
An e-learning option is also available for both initial and renewal courses. This involves completion of an online module with a follow-up practical session scheduled in our training center. Please register below.

Practice and testing with a CPR pocket mask is required. Students who already have their own masks should bring them to class. Students needing to purchase a pocket mask may do so at the time of registration or during the class for $10.
