Is it possible to purchase a defibrillator (AED) for my home?

How can I prepare my business or industrial site for medical emergencies?

What kind of CPR card is required for admission into nursing, EMT, or allied health programs?
The American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers class is the most commonly utilized “professional” level CPR class in healthcare.  This is the preferred course for most nursing and allied health programs, and McCabe offers this class every week on Tuesdays.  Please call (201) 823-2277, email training@mccabeambulance.com or click here for more information.  Please ensure that this certification will meet the requirements of your program.
 
How can I recertify my Healthcare Provider CPR card?
Recertifying a CPR certification is easy through McCabe and opportunities are available every week.  “Last minute” needs are generally not a problem.  Refreshing the didactic material can be done via an online program with a short follow-up practical session in our classroom.  Traditional refresher courses are also available.  Please call (201) 823-2277, email training@mccabeambulance.com or click here for more information.
 
Does McCabe Ambulance offer the Emergency Medical Technician - Basic course?
McCabe does not offer initial training for EMTs. This training is offered at sites throughout New Jersey including Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth (908) 527-5222 and Meadowlands Hospital in Secaucus (201) 324-5006.  However, a Healthcare Provider CPR card is a required to take the EMT course and McCabe offers this class.    Please call (201) 823-2277, email training@mccabeambulance.com or click here for more information.
 
Does McCabe Ambulance offer continuing education (CEU) courses for EMTs and Paramedics?
In addition to scheduled ACLS and PALS courses, McCabe is able to offer a broad array of continuing education courses to EMS agencies.  These courses include International Trauma Life Support (ITLS), ICS, HazMat, CBRNE, Coaching the Emergency Vehicle Operator (CEVO), and EMS Response to the Large Scale Incident.   Please call (201) 823-2277 or email training@mccabeambulance.com  to discuss scheduling a CEU course.  More information is available by clicking here.
