Heartsaver AED is a 3.5 hour course
is designed to teach CPR and AED skills for home, work, or recreation to
community members with no prior medical training. This class is
appropriate for workplace first aid providers, coaches, school staff,
hotel/restaurant staff, elderly caregivers, day care centers, security
officers.

Heartsaver First Aid is a 3 hour course that teaches first aid for both sudden
illness and injury to the same audience. The class teaches lifesaving
first aid for medical emergencies, including difficulty breathing, chest
pain/heart attack, fainting, diabetic emergencies, seizures, and stroke.
First aid for injuries includes bleeding, mouth/tooth injuries, head injuries,
broken bones, sprains, bruises, internal bleeding, burns, electrocution,
bites/stings, and heat/cold injuries. Since this course is designed for
individuals requiring certification, a course completion card will be issued
following a skills evaluation and a written test.
McCabe offers monthly opportunities to complete Heartsaver AED in morning or
evening sessions in our training center. For those interested in first
aid training as well, a Heartsaver First Aid class is offered during the
afternoon on those same days. These classes, as well as National Safety
Council First Aid classes, can also be offered off-site, as requested.
An e-learning option is also available for Heartsaver AED, Heartsaver First
Aid, or Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED. This involves completion
of an online module with a follow-up practical session scheduled in our
training center. Please register below.
Tuition is $65 for Heartsaver AED and $55 for Heartsaver First
Aid. Students may register online via the link below, by mail utilizing
the form below, or in person at the Training Center. Please make check or money
order payable to: McCabe Institute of Emergency Preparedness. Registration is
not valid without payment.
Tuition cannot be refunded unless the class is cancelled by McCabe.
