Michael G. McCabe; BS, NREMT-P
Chief
Michael
started working in the family business in 1999, after
graduating from Fairfield University with a BS in Marketing.
Michael completed his EMT training in 1999, and rode on one
of the city’s 911 trucks for three years, before being
promoted to supervisor status. As a supervisor, Michael
focused on the development of the company. In 2002, he
developed the Specialty Care Transport Division, which
currently generates 500 calls for service per year
throughout the state. Additionally, in 2002, Michael became
certified as an American Heart Association CPR Instructor
Faculty member, overseeing all training within the McCabe
Institute of Emergency Preparedness.
In addition to focusing on business at McCabe Ambulance,
Michael volunteers his time in other areas of emergency
services. In 2005, Michael became the Chairman of the
“Bayonne Police Defib Fund”, which is a fund that generates
capital to purchase defibrillators for every mobile police
unit in the city. In 2006, Michael became the Medical
Director of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Rapid Deployment
Team and Municipal Narcotics Task Force. As such, he is
responsible for the mobilization of medical support during
any incident involving these law enforcement groups. Michael
is trained as a Tactical EMS operator, and serves on the New
Jersey EMS Task Force, as the Tactical Leader for the
Northern Region. On a county level, Michael serves as the
Deputy Coordinator for the Hudson County Office of Emergency
Management- EMS Division. In 2008, Michael completed his
Paramedic training at Union County College. He is a
Nationally Registered Paramedic, and practices as a per diem
medic at Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, N.J.

Frank Travisano; EMT–Basic
Deputy Chief
Frank
celebrated his twentieth anniversary at McCabe Ambulance
Service in September of 2007. Frank has been a Deputy Chief
at McCabe since 1989. Frank came to McCabe from New York
City EMS, where he was an EMT for six years, stationed at
Bellvue Hospital in Manhattan. Since the late 80’s, Frank
has been a loyal McCabe employee, always rising to the
occasion. Frank oversees all facets of the operation, yet
excels in the Special Operations side of the company. Frank
has responded to both World Trade Center attacks, and has
served in command positions on many large scale events over
the years. Frank is currently an Assistant Coordinator for
the Hudson County Office of Emergency Management- Emergency
Medical Services section. Along with his duties at McCabe,
Frank is directly involved in purchases made for all EMS
personnel in Hudson County via grant monies appropriated
through county and federal government. Additionally, Frank
serves on the New Jersey EMS Task Force as a Technology
Officer. |

Eric Farber; EMT-Basic
Deputy Chief
Eric has been employed at McCabe Ambulance Service since
1994. Eric was one of the original wheelchair van drivers
for the Bayonne Medical Center Transportation system. Eric
excelled in his position and was quickly promoted to
supervisor status, overseeing the day to day operations
within the transportation division. Eric completed his EMT
training in 1999, and was promoted to rank of Captain. Eric
was responsible for all employee scheduling and the entire
non-emergency side of the operation. In 2001, Eric was
promoted to rank of Deputy Chief. He currently is involved
in every facet of the operation, and is a certified
Emergency Medical Dispatcher, overseeing the McCabe E-911
Communications Center. |

Richard Krysick; EMT-Basic
Captain
Rich has been employed by McCabe Ambulance Service since
1998. Rich started at McCabe as a wheelchair van driver. In
June of 2001, Rich was certified as an EMT- Basic, and was
assigned to our 911 division, responding to emergencies
within the City of Bayonne. Rich helped develop our
Specialty Care Transport Division in 2002, serving as the
primary driver on the unit. Ascending through the ranks,
Rich was promoted to Lieutenant in 2006, and Captain in
2008. Currently, Rich oversees the Special Operations
Division, and is involved in all deployments of the SOG.
