CARE TRANSPORT UNIT |
|
In addition to providing 9-1-1 emergency response to Bayonne and Hudson
County, McCabe Ambulance also operates a Specialty Care Transport (SCT)
Division.
McCabe is licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior
Services to serve as a Specialty Care Transport provider throughout New
Jersey. Our SCT units are state-of-the-art, well-equipped vehicles
staffed with two EMTs and a licensed registered nurse.
SCT units serve as a means of transport for critically ill and injured
patients requiring a greater level of care than a basic life support
ambulance can provide. These vehicles are stocked with advanced life
support equipment, including medications, cardiac
monitor/defibrillators, endotracheal intubation equipment, and
ventilators.
McCabe Ambulance Medical Director Young Yoon, MD provides medical
oversight for specialty care transport, as he does for all patient care
the company provides. Dr. Yoon is a Board-certified emergency physician
and has served McCabe as Medical Director since 2003. Dr. Yoon received
his MD from SUNY-Stony Brook and completed his residency at Jacobi
Medical Center in the Bronx, New York City. Dr. Yoon currently
practices in the Emergency Department of Hunterdon Medical Center in
New Jersey. |
